The face of one of the most run-down parts of the city centre is changing rapidly as the Millennium View development begins to rise.

Millennium View is a development by UNITE Students in partnership with Complex Development Projects (CDP), the same team behind the hugely successful and place-changing Gosford Gate scheme.  The development will provide 391 beds for the city’s students and up to 6,000 sq ft of commercial space and will comprise of three towers rising to five, eight and 11 storeys.

The scheme will also help kick-start a heritage scheme centred around The Burges – the aim to regenerate the area in a similar vein to the Far Gosford Street project, also by CDP.

Phase one of this project will see improvements to Palmer Lane, the restoration of the former Illingworth building and a section of the River Sherbourne will be opened up to create an attractive public space flanked by bars and restaurants.
